Mary is a 14 year old refugee from a war-torn region of Africa. Her life story will, at the same time, break your heart and inspire you. Mary has lived through many highs and lows yet the one word she uses to define herself is “resilient.”
She is a high achiever academically, hoping to attend medical school and one day return to Africa to help her people. She is friendly, out-going, and enjoys music, dancing, picnics and celebrations of all sorts.
She longs for a forever family who will appreciate her cultural background, a family with other children that is active yet organized. Mary loves her Christian faith and enjoys attending youth group at church and Bible camp during the summer. Mary is not fond of indoor pets but is willing to adapt as long as she can live in a clean environment.
